281 there is a stop sign and flashing red light, not a complete signal light so you have to yield to the very busy traffic on 281.
I also noticed several roads going off of this highway towards Canyon Lake and other locals. There is an area to pull off that has picnic tables and a beautiful view of the land. There are some lovely views but if you are driving you definitely want to keep you eyes on the road as large trucks also use this cut through and the road is narrow with very little shoulder. This stretch is approximately 30 miles and a two lane road with many windy twists. 32 and decided to take it to cut across to Hwy. 12 towards San Marcos and then several miles out I saw the sign for Hwy. While visiting in Wimberley I went from the square on Hwy.
Being a native Texan I have never driven on this stretch of road but have heard it mentioned many times.
